Notes
Review of Action Items
The general mailing list is updated and new one created for iPToL development group
Migrate algorithm/tool list to wiki
Creation of evaluation matrix: first have to have some homework before can create an actual matrix
Nick has uploaded document for technology evaluation but this is more for platform work; could modify to fit algorithm evaluation

Alfresco Demo
On the pods website, there is Alfresco and Wiki spaces (Confluence)
Alfresco for small team environment; really good for document management
Wiki spaces, more for documentation
Ticketing system running OTRS
Will be an update to Alfresco soon and also this summer that will include better editing of wiki page
Support link will be added to easily access support ticket
Looking to fix document versioning process (to maintain version control, need to upload in “documents I’m editing”)

General Update
Budget information has been circulated to iPToL PIs
Meeting summary circulated to all (iPlant and iPToL PIs)
Project charter in draft version

Technology Evaluation
First stage, we need to know inputs/outputs, purpose
How well suited is software into integration into working group
For working group, Karla and Sheldon need to flesh out two use cases (Tree Reconciliation, Ancestral Character State Reconstruction)
Each developer will need to go to wiki page and find out which one(s) you have been assigned and start to work on it; expect reports back next week

Moving Forward
Initiate contact with working groups and start organizing working groups
Done with Val Tannen and Bill Piel for data integration
Bill Piel visualization
Will need to contact Adam offline about working with visualization

APWeb2 proposal is an extra working group that doesn’t have clear funding model; have provided proposal to Sheldon and Karla
Someone needs to go through workflow demo (Andy): see where it needs to be developed
Sheldon will provide information on APWeb (clear idea of what it is, what it is not and what it should be); just get a background/feel on what it is about

Andy suggests discussion for next week's meeting from EA group: wrap heads around what overall DE needs are for iPToL; see a need for a API, bank of web services; phone call with Sheldon, Karla, Andy, Rick to discuss this offline
