  • Worked on 4 manuscripts, all enabled by TNRS and at least one by range map computation at TACC
    • Commonness of Rarity (Brian Enquist lead)
    • Range modeling methods (John Donoghue lead)
    • Range size spectra (Naia Morueta-Holme lead)
    • The scale of trait filtering in North America (Irena Simova lead)
    • Two of the papers (Rarity and probably Spectra) will be submitted to high profile journals (e.g., Science, Nature)
  • Data sharing policy
  • Acknowledging data contributors

Note: Martha did not attend the calls, so can not provide details.

  • Martha is reading the manuscript drafts as they become available on the BIEN website. Access to the manuscripts is restricted. The rarity and trait filtering papers are posted. So is the range spectra paper, but it doesn't download properly.
  • There will be more than four iPlant-enabled papers from the BIEN group. They have a list of about a dozen papers they want to write.
  • TNRS manuscript expected in May.
    • Enables essentially all the science done using the BIEN data.
