2. User personas

Key focus: identifying real user focus problems, reusing personas will save us in the long run,

3. Prep for Developer’s Meeting
By the end of the first week of September, develop primary user personas, in a concise document that articulates the problem. Avoid anything that hints at a solution. Please limit document to 2 pages.

4. Review of Project Milestones
See reference material. Implementation begins: at nescent design process is all pencil and paper, so implementation is when you start moving beyond that

5. November Meeting at NESCent
Standing wg in plant genomics, with a subgroup focused on tree reconciliation. A collaboration emerged with Wong (Manitoba), looking at scale of data set, and what iPlant is designing to accommodate. Jim Leebens-Mack now in this working group. We’d like the problems to help craft a prototype to use at your meeting.
Possible dates include Nov. 23-24.

6. What we need to move forward
Problem statement of a couple of pages.
Start developing user personas
Revisit milestones after above process is underway, and we have access to Dannie, Cecile, and Jim Leebens-Mack
Permissions for wiki can be changed at any time. Front pages of working groups can be world-readable. Beyond that, you’ll need a password.
