Notes

Status of taxon name re-scrubbing

  • Running the names through TNRS to rescrub them has completed.
  • The re-scrubbing results are in a table of all matches.
  • The next task is to sort through the matches per Brad's instructions in issue 917
  • Aaron will create a trigger function to insert best match (estimated time to complete is "days").
  • Martha have Brad send explanation of issue 917 step 5.
    • Also ask Brad about 916 source order – is that an error?

Review of taxon names

  • As soon as Aaron has sorted the names, he needs to send extracts to Bob and Brian Enquist to review.
  • Martha will ask Brian Enquist to send data set names to Aaron so he can create a data extract for review.
  • Extract to Bob
  • Aaron start constructing workflow to create viewFullOccurrence table.

  • Received 2 data requests within a few weeks from people within BIEN and outside BIEN.
  • Forward the requests to Mark and Martha so they can help manage Aaron's workload.

    • Proceed per those instructions while Martha tries to get information from Brad.

  • Ask Brad to send explanation of issue 917 step 5 and of the source order in 916 which differs from that in 917. (emailed)
  • Ask Brian Enquist to send data set names to Aaron so he can create a data extract for taxon name validation. (DONE)
