Atmosphere Release Notes -- Edda (October 18, 2012)

Release Notes — Edda (October 2012)

Airport’s all-new interface allows you to:

  • Improved instance launching: Before Airport, it was very easy to accidentally click on the same image icon and use up your resource quota. Improved instance launching makes it more obvious which instance you are launching and how much of your resources will be used.
  • View instance information: Instance ID, IP address, and launch date are now easy to find.
  • View memory and CPU usage: View memory and CPU usage over time in an interactive graph.
  • Tag instances: It is now possible to tag your instance with the tools you’ve installed or the processes that are running to keep track of it.
  • Access Atmosphere from the web: There are now tabs in Airport that allow you to use your instance from either the shell or from VNC.
  • More easily create volumes: You now can create a volume of up to 50GB on the spot instead of emailing your request for a volume.
  • Attach and detach volumes using drag and drop: Airport provides an interface for seeing all of your instances and all of your volumes, and includes the ability to drag a volume onto an instance to attach it immediately. Conversely, you can detach the volume from its instance by dragging it back.
